The volume of the ultimate high-level waste was indeed very small: the contribution of a family of four using electricity for 20 years is a glass cylinder the size of a cigarette lighter. It was assumed that this high-level waste would be buried in underground geological storage and in the 80s French engineers began digging exploratory holes in France's rural regions.

BACTERIA

A lot people will tell you that nuclear power is dangerous. Well, in the eyes of this team it's not. Still people don't know what they want to do with nuclear waste. Our team wanted to help something that would get rid of nuclear waste. Our first idea was launching to the moon or sun. We got into that but it turned out that NASA was already looking into that, so we stopped. We had a second idea which was making or finding some kind of organism and would eat the nuclear waste. But Will's uncle or grandfather I can't remember who, but one of them said that it's possible but very hard. So with that response, we found some research about bacteria. That it turned out that would possibly work!
